On October 18, 2025, we held the fifth annual Louisiana Legends Fest, spanning the 12-block area around the historic Claiborne Parish Courthouse. Although stormy weather shortened the festival, it still broke attendance and vendor participation records. According to data collected that day, over 6,800 visitors traveled more than 60 miles to downtown Homer. Including attendees from northwest Louisiana and South Arkansas, the total estimate reached 9,248 people, marking the busiest single day in recent memory. With 100 vendor booths and one of the region’s most popular Car Show and Shines, our attendance continues to grow by double digits each year. Now, the Louisiana Legends Fest has expanded into a weeklong event, featuring venues in both Haynesville and Homer. Highlights like the 2nd annual LLF Treasure Hunt, the Ms. Legend Fest Pageant, and the LLF Parade have established Louisiana Legends Fest as a highly anticipated fall tradition in North Louisiana.

 

At Claiborne Unite Foundation, attracting visitors to Claiborne Parish represents just one aspect of its mission; equally important is leveraging these events as fundraisers to support the numerous charitable initiatives in the region. On designated days, several complimentary opportunities are available, enabling local charity partners to generate funds. In 2025, proceeds surpassed $72,500, contributing to a five-year total that now exceeds $270,000. The Louisiana Legends Fest is a 100% Sponsored and Volunteer event! Claiborne Unite uses available grants and creates marketing opportunities for regional business that are very visible in the promotion of and the activity of the Louisiana Legends Fest.

Everyone working on the festival is a volunteer, everyone. This festival could not operate without a strong group of volunteers. Be active in making this festival happen, volunteer.
