2023 La. Legends Fest

   The third Louisiana Legends Fest will be held in downtown Homer, Louisiana, on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Our title sponsor is "Car Giant of Homer" and is co-hosted by "ExploreLouisiana.com" This year’s Louisiana Legend is Coach Alton “Red” Franklin. Coach Franklin is one of the winningest high school football coaches in Louisiana and the country. As head Coach of Haynesville’s Golden Tornado for 35 years he won 11 state titles. Honors include National High School Athletic Association Region 5 Coach of the Year (twice) and inducted into the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the ArkLaTex Sports Museum of Champions and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.    The Festival begins with a 5K run and will include the Thomas G. Bourn Memorial Show & Shine. Music performances on the Main Stage and the Gospel Stage will alternate during the day. The headliner is Deana Carter!. Food, artists and vendors will be selling wares throughout the Festival and the Ford Museum and the Courthouse will offer scheduled tours.    As always, the festival is free to the public, but we ask that you get a ticket as soon as possible on our website legendsfest.us. We will also be offering Super Fan and VIP tickets this year. They are a great way to get the full LLF festival experience.    The Louisiana Legends Festival is organized by the non-profit Claiborne Unite Foundation whose mission is to “develop tourism focused events that celebrate the history, people and resources of Claiborne Parish, that promote economic development and that provide financial support for area non-profits.”
